Giving NearSt access to your Shopify stock information to make it available in Google involves a few steps.
Step 1 – Create a Custom App
Shopify requires you to create a 'Custom App', which involves the following steps. Have a look at the steps below, or contact our tech team if you need help.

Go into your Shopify admin dashboard and click Settings, then go to the Apps and sales channels section.
In the top right corner, click Develop apps.
Shopify will ask you to allow custom app development. Click Allow custom app development.
Click Create a custom app. Enter ‘NearSt’ as the app name and confirm by clicking Create app.
Set the correct permissions
In your new app, click Configure Admin API scopes.
Make sure to find and tick the checkboxes for the following permissions:
read_inventory
,read_products
,read_locations
.Confirm the new permissions by clicking Save on the bottom right.
Generate API credentials
Now go to the tab API credentials at the top.
Click Install app and confirm by clicking Install.
Copy the Admin API access token (top box - only visible once!), as well as the API key (first field in bottom box) and paste them below.
Step 2 – Send your details to NearSt
Let your contact at NearSt know you're ready to complete your setup, and they will send you a form where you can enter these details to complete the connection.
FAQs
How does the integration work with multiple locations?
Once you're ready to complete your setup, NearSt will send you a form to add your API credentials. The second screen in this form will prompt you to select which NearSt locations map to which locations in Shopify. Only the inventory within that specific location will be included in your Google and Meta listings.
I can’t view my Admin API access token
This is only visible once after you click ‘Install app’. If you’ve done this in the past and haven’t saved the value shown in the field, you will need to uninstall the app (button on the top right) and install it again.I want to group together my apparel products that come in multiple sizes
NearSt will tell Google products belong together as soon as there is a variant field called 'Size' (exact match!) present for multiple variants of the same product.
