Weekly averages for Local Listings

Understand why the dashboard is showing a weekly average for Local Listing results.

Occasionally, you might see a message in Local Listings graphs in the NearSt dashboard explaining the data is an estimate based on a weekly average.

This happens when daily data is unavailable. Google only releases this data for days where your products were seen more than 20 times. If you don't hit this threshold, data is not reported for end-user privacy reasons.

When this happens, NearSt will calculate daily averages based on weekly data reported by Google.

Google Core Update

This is affecting more shops that were previously reaching higher organic results due to some Google search algorithm changes that have been mode in early 2023.
