When selecting which Meta account you’d like to connect to in order to get your shop up and running, you should see yours as one of the options. If you do not, there are a couple of reasons why this might be.

You do not have admin access to your Business Account

In order to get set-up for Meta shopping, you need Admin access to your business account, otherwise it may not show. In order to fix this, just ask someone with admin access to provide you with the same permissions. Then, you should have no issue getting set-up!

No business account

Whilst you may have an Instagram and Facebook page up and running, there is the possibility that you don’t yet have a business account linked to these pages. It’s super easy to do create one:

  1. Head to the Meta Business Suite which is linked here or open the Meta Business app on iOS / Android

  2. Click Create account.

  3. Enter a name for your business, your name and work email address and click Next.

  4. Enter your business details and click Submit

You will then need to link your business account to your pages. Here’s how:

  1. Log into the Business Suite linked here or open the Meta Business app on iOS/Android

  2. click Settings from the sidebar on the left

  3. Click Business assets.

  4. Click Add assets and select Instagram account.

  5. Review and agree to our terms for connecting your Instagram account, then click Claim Instagram account.

  6. A new window will open. Enter your Instagram username and password, and click Log in. If you're already logged in on Instagram, you can also click Continue as [Instagram handle] if that's the account that you want to connect to. Otherwise, tap Switch accounts to log in to another account.

  7. If your two-factor authentication is turned on, we'll ask you to enter your security code.

  8. Click confirm

  9. All done! Then you should be able to continue setting up your Meta account!
